No cookies of our own
FairlyRanked sets no cookies of its own, and we use no advertising or tracking scripts. Our visitor statistics come from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which works without cookies.
The Cloudflare security cookie
Cloudflare, which hosts the site, sets one strictly necessary cookie to protect the site from automated traffic.
| Name | Set by | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
__cf_bm |
Cloudflare | Helps tell people from bots, to protect the site. | 30 minutes |
Local storage on your device
Two choices are kept in your browser’s local storage, so the site remembers them on your next visit. They stay on your device and are never sent to us.
| Name | What it remembers |
|---|---|
fr-theme |
Your choice of light or dark theme, if you change it from your system’s. |
fr-compare-<region> |
The models in your compare tray, for each region, such as fr-compare-uk. |
You can clear them at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser’s settings. The site still works if your browser blocks local storage: it just forgets these choices.
Why there is no cookie banner
We do not ask for your consent because nothing here needs it: the local storage only keeps choices you make, and the Cloudflare cookie is strictly necessary to protect the site.
Cookies set by retailers
When you follow a link from FairlyRanked to a retailer, the retailer, and any affiliate network that tracks the link, may set their own cookies, for example to record that you came from us. Their cookies are covered by their own cookie and privacy policies. See how we make money and our privacy policy.
