Notes

Case size is the length from 12 to 6 o'clock, the width across the case and the thickness, as Garmin lists it, and weight includes the band supplied. The drawings show each case to scale, seen from above with its side profile; outlines are simplified shapes, not exact silhouettes. Where a family's sizes or editions differ, the family shows the range across the models sold here (all of its models when none is), each model shows its own figures, and the bars, drawing and score use the family's standard model, named under its details.

A family's standard model is its base edition (no Sapphire, Cerakote, Tactical, Applied Ballistics or inReach edition where the family has a plainer one) in the case size Garmin sells under the family's plain name, without an S or X suffix: 47 mm for the fēnix and tactix 8, 45 mm for the Instinct, and the only size where there is one.

Battery figures are Garmin's "up to" figures without solar charging. Battery life with GPS is for the mode Garmin names for its best accuracy with multi-band GPS: "All Satellite Systems + Multi-band" on most models, and "Activity Mode (Max Accuracy)" on models whose satellite settings use Garmin's newer names. Models without multi-band GPS show no figure for it.

Status follows Garmin's listings in every region: a current model is listed by Garmin, an upcoming one is announced but not yet on sale, and a discontinued one is no longer listed anywhere. A model Garmin still makes but does not sell here is marked as not sold in the UK.
